We’ve opened the doors to our new community food hub! Over 300 neighbors came out to celebrate with us. Together we shared tasty bites from some of our favorite local restaurants. We hosted our third annual bag packing competition and one of our youngest, long-time volunteers, Wyatt won!
This new building is designed to improve access to nourishing food and community resources, for everyone. With more storage for culturally relevant foods, a commercial kitchen, and room to host more partner programs, the hub is built to serve our neighbors in new and better ways.
We're looking for more volunteers to help out at the check-in stations for our Mobile Markets. Requirements for this role include being at least 18 years of age and willing to complete a Background Check. This shift is on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am - 1pm. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Attiyya at volunteer@rvfb.org if interested in this volunteer role.
